Aberdeen City Council's Audit and Risk Committee has considered a follow-up report into an investigation carried out into property sales by the city council.
The report, by accountancy firm Henderson Loggie, is an update on the progress made by the council in addressing concerns raised last year in the Controller of Audit's report about property sales.
The report praises the council for its quick response to concerns raised during an internal audit and for the remedial action put in place to address those concerns.
It commends the authority for all the actions put in place to address concerns relating to property disposals and recognises that good progress has been made in tightening up the procedures which were already in place.
It also praises the council's "thorough" investigation into sales of tied houses.
Audit and Risk Committee Convener Councillor Barney Crockett said: "It is broadly encouraging that the auditor recognises how far we have come. But the people of Aberdeen can also be assured that the recommendations of the auditor will be kept at the front of our concerns as this committee goes forward. Good all-party commitment has been the foundation of the progress that has been made."
