Maryhill Housing Association (MHA) has lodged a planning bid for a 108-home neighbourhood on the long-vacant Collina Street plot in north Maryhill, with most properties proposed as affordable.
The association has submitted its application to Glasgow City Council, seeking permission to redevelop the site into new housing.
The proposal would turn the derelict area, locally known as The Valley, into 108 homes. Subject to consent, 95 would be affordable, spanning social rent, mid-market rent and new supply shared equity options.
MHA is working with Transforming Communities: Glasgow (TC:G), a regeneration partnership between Glasgow City Council, Wheatley Group and the Scottish Government.
Plans set out a mix of terraced and flatted properties to meet varied needs. Every home would have private outdoor space and access to landscaped communal areas, alongside new green routes through the site and better links to neighbouring streets.
The land has lain empty since tenement blocks were demolished in 2007. According to MHA, the project would return the site to use and support wider regeneration goals for the area.
Glasgow City Council is now considering the application.
