Residential management specialist Fresh has been appointed by Ropemaker to manage two purpose-built student accommodation (PBSA) developments in Edinburgh.
Fresh took over management of Meadow Court and Norton's Student Living on 1 July 2026, expanding its existing partnership with Ropemaker, for which it already manages The Gorge co-living scheme in Exeter and Verse build-to-rent development in Cardiff.
The appointment also strengthens Fresh's presence in Scotland, where the company now manages PBSA schemes across Edinburgh, Glasgow, Paisley and Dundee.
Meadow Court provides 148 units, including 115 en-suite bedrooms within cluster flats and 33 townhouse units. The development offers shared study and social spaces, study pods and a courtyard, and is located around a 10-minute walk from the University of Edinburgh and approximately 30 minutes from Edinburgh Napier University’s Merchiston campus.
Norton's Student Living comprises 149 units, including 97 en-suite rooms and 52 studios. The development features shared study areas, communal lounges, a games room, cinema room, gym and private rooftop dining room. It is around a 30-minute walk from the University of Edinburgh and a 30-minute bus journey from Edinburgh Napier University’s Merchiston campus.
Residents at both properties will have access to Fresh’s Be Wellbeing Programme and its Platinum-certified service standard for PBSA properties, recognised through the GSLI Spring Wave Survey 2026.
Sam Scott, Managing Director at Fresh, said: "We are thrilled to be expanding both our partnership with Ropemaker and our presence in Scotland with Fresh’s appointment to operate Meadow Court and Norton’s Student Living.
"The expansion of the partnership demonstrates our proven ability to deliver strong results across the BTR, co-living and PBSA sectors, and we’re delighted that Ropemaker has recognised our ability to enhance the resident experience at pre-established properties.
"We look forward to supporting Ropemaker’s PBSA portfolio and upholding the exceptional operational standards they have come to expect from Fresh Property Group."
