Repair work to a West Lothian bridge thought to have been smashed by vandals using sledgehammers, is to begin next week.
An estimated £7,000 worth of damage to New Farm Bridge at Dedridge was discovered on Monday 13 October.
Following the incident temporary barriers were erected for safety reasons.
"Repairs are expected to take one or two weeks to complete.
"A scaffolding access platform will be erected and it is hoped that work can start in the week beginning Monday 27 October."
The footbridge which is in woodland near a duck pond, is over 100 years old.
