CCG Group has started a new phase of the association's window upgrade programme. The contractor will install its own Tilt & Turn window sets, with works delivered by CCG's planned maintenance arm, 'Asset Management'.
The project builds on a decade of activity CCG has undertaken for the association, including previous window and door replacements, large-scale kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, and boiler changes.
Whiteinch & Scotstoun Housing Association Chief Executive, James Ward, said: "At Whiteinch & Scotstoun Housing Association, our purpose is to provide quality, safe and affordable homes and to play a wider role as a community anchor in Whiteinch and Scotstoun.
"Projects like this with our valued partner CCG are important because they improve the quality, comfort, and energy performance of our homes for tenants, while also supporting our longer-term commitment to investing in our communities.
"This programme reflects the way we work in partnership to deliver practical improvements that make a real difference, and contribute to achieving better homes, better services, and stronger communities."
CCG's PVCu windows are produced at its advanced manufacturing facility in Cambuslang. Run by the firm's in-house 'Manufacturing' division, which has expanded in recent years, the operation can turn out more than 35,000 PVCu windows, doors, composite doors and timber doors annually. The window sets feature steel reinforcement for added durability, resist weathering and hold Secured by Design accreditation.
CCG Asset Management Manager, Jim Cunningham, said: "Whiteinch & Scotstoun Housing Association has made significant investments in its housing stock in recent years, and our team, alongside CCG Manufacturing, has played a key role across various workstreams.
"This latest phase of activity forms part of a larger contract awarded to CCG in 2020 via Procurement for Housing (Pfh) Scotland and will see many residences benefit from our product offering, which we aim to install efficiently while minimising disruption to tenants' day-to-day lives.
"We thank the association for its continued support and look forward to working alongside them in the weeks ahead."
Pfh Scotland Commercial Manager, Chris McGinn, added: "This contract is a great example of the end-to-end service offered by PfH Scotland across the lifetime of a project, and we are delighted to have been able to support Whiteinch & Scotstoun Housing Association in its delivery. I look forward to working with both the Association and CCG on this contract and further opportunities moving forward."
