Taylor Wimpey East Scotland has received Approval of Matters Specified in Conditions (AMSC) detailed planning consent from Fife Council for the next stage of its Whitefields development in Dunfermline.
This approval allows for the construction of 219 new homes at Whitefield Gate, marking the second development within the broader Whitefields masterplan.
Whitefield Gate will be the first site in Fife to feature Taylor Wimpey's new national house types. The project will offer a variety of two, three, four, and five-bedroom homes designed to cater to a range of buyers, from individuals to modern families. Additionally, the development will include an equipped play area for residents.
This announcement precedes the anticipated sales launch next month of the first homes at Whitefield Gardens, where construction is currently underway on 68 properties.
The wider Whitefields project in North Dunfermline is designed to establish a new community of approximately 1,400 homes. The masterplan includes a new primary school, retail units, community facilities, and green open spaces. Infrastructure improvements are also planned, alongside two equipped play areas and an informal kick-about space.
Pauline Mills, Technical Director at Taylor Wimpey East Scotland, said: "We're delighted to have secured an AMSC detailed planning consent for Whitefield Gate, which marks another important step forward in our vision for the Whitefields neighbourhood. This second development not only continues our investment in the area but also introduces our new national house types to Fife – giving homebuyers even more choice and flexibility when making their move to a new home."
She added: "As Whitefields continues to take shape, we remain committed to delivering high-quality homes and creating a thriving, sustainable community that supports both new and existing residents in North Dunfermline."
