Elderpark Housing has announced the successful completion of a significant planned maintenance workstream across its housing stock in Glasgow's Southside.
The contract, delivered by CCG Asset Management, focused on modernising essential facilities and improving energy efficiency for tenants in the Govan area.
The £720,000 investment programme was procured through the Scottish Procurement Alliance (SPA) framework, ensuring a streamlined and cost-effective delivery process. The scope of works included the installation of 120 high-efficiency boilers, alongside 26 new kitchens and 20 bathroom replacements.
This maintenance cycle is part of Elderpark's broader commitment to maintaining the Scottish Housing Quality Standard and ensuring long-term asset value. The introduction of modern boiler systems is expected to provide tenants with improved thermal comfort and reduced energy costs, addressing local fuel poverty concerns during the winter months.
Gary Dalziel, Chief Executive of Elderpark Housing, welcomed the completion of the project: "Ensuring our tenants' homes are continually improved is essential to our vision and we wish to thank CCG Asset Management for their efforts in delivering this significant programme of works."
CCG Asset Management, the dedicated planned maintenance arm of the CCG Group, has a long-standing relationship with the housing association. The division specialises in large-scale residential upgrades, often working within occupied properties to minimize disruption.
Jim Cunningham, Manager of CCG Asset Management, commented on the technical and social impact of the upgrades: "Elderpark Housing has been a longstanding client of the CCG Group for many years, and we thank them for entrusting the Asset Management team with this workstream. The new energy-efficient boilers will provide a greater sense of comfort and security, particularly during the colder months. I am also confident that the new kitchens and bathrooms, along with the associated decorative improvements, will be warmly welcomed by residents."
The completion of this workstream marks another step in the ongoing regeneration of Govan, reinforcing the quality of social housing provision in the region.
