Arc-Tech (Scotland) has announced the completion of its largest single contract to date, providing comprehensive Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health (MEP) services for the Burnet Point mixed-use residential development in Meadowbank, Edinburgh.
The contract, valued at £7.9 million, was part of the overall £59 million project delivered by main contractor Graham.
Burnet Point is notable as Unite Students' first development combining up to 298 bed spaces for students in the capital, alongside 66 flats owned and operated by Hillcrest Homes.
The project achieved a BREEAM Excellent rating, reflecting its focus on high sustainability standards. Arc-Tech's 30-person site team, which included six trade apprentices, installed critical systems such as zero-emissions heating, ventilation, air conditioning, zero-emissions lighting, and fire suppression.
John Gallacher, Arc-Tech (Scotland) Managing Director, hailed the completion as a major milestone ahead of the company's tenth year in business: "The completion of Burnet Point is a fantastic milestone to have reached just before entering our tenth year of business. It is a landmark for us and for the city of Edinburgh, and we give thanks to Graham for bringing us on board."
Andrew Halliday, Arc-Tech Commercial Director, emphasised the company's continuous investment in its 100-strong direct labour force and in-house services, positioning them to lead in the Scottish construction sector over the next decade.
