Costain has been awarded a multimillion-pound contract by INEOS FPS to deliver engineering services at the Kinneil Terminal in Scotland.
The three-year agreement will see Costain continue its long-standing role supporting operations at the terminal, bringing its broad engineering expertise to help optimise and enhance performance.
Costain has been providing engineering services at Kinneil for more than a decade, delivering everything from front-end studies to detailed design engineering and procurement across both onshore and offshore assets since 2014.
Under the new contract, Costain will operate from its recently established Aberdeen office, reinforcing its expanding footprint in Scotland's energy sector and supporting a growing customer base across the UK.
Sean Close, energy resilience director at Costain, said: "We'll use our engineering expertise and long record of predictable best-in-class delivery to optimise the performance of Kinneil Terminal. This is critical national infrastructure, and our work will build vital resilience into the UK’s energy system with a safer, more efficient and more reliable terminal.
"With our strong and growing presence in the region this contract marks the next chapter in our productive and collaborative relationship with INEOS FPS."
The Kinneil Terminal, located near Grangemouth, plays a central role in processing North Sea oil and gas and is a key component of the Forties Pipeline System (FPS), operated by INEOS.
