City Building (Glasgow) LLP has reported a substantial increase in its charitable activities, donating nearly £60,000 to charities over the past year – a 55% rise compared to the previous year.

The construction firm's annual report on its charitable endeavours also revealed that it supported 52 communities, marking a 62% increase.

Employee-led fundraising efforts saw an impressive 85% surge, reaching £24,000. Further contributions of £17,500 were made through supply chain partnerships, with the Joint Trade Union Committee (JTUC) adding £6,650 to various community initiatives, extending the company's reach and impact across Glasgow.

Beyond financial contributions, employees have taken part in challenges like the Kiltwalk and Race for Life, raising funds for charities including Alzheimer's Scotland, Breast Cancer Now, and Cash for Kids.

Sharon Wearing, Executive Director of City Building (Glasgow) LLP, commented on the report: "Our commitment to community engagement and social impact continues to grow year on year. With the support of both our members – Glasgow City Council and Wheatley Housing Group - alongside the generosity of our employees and supply chain partners, we have been able to support even more people and projects across Glasgow."

She added: "We are immensely proud of our achievements and remain dedicated to creating a lasting, positive impact."

The report underscores City Building's ongoing commitment to making a tangible difference in the communities it serves, demonstrating a significant uplift in its social responsibility initiatives.
