Aberdeen City Council has outlined a year of climate action which has supported it's journey towards net zero and climate resilience.
As part of several actions taken to combat the climate and nature emergency, over 3,500 homes have now been connected to the district heating network.
Aberdeen City Council Co-Leader Councillor Ian Yuill said: "Climate change is happening now and it’s vital that we work with partners to reduce the impact. It’s important to review the action taken to date, and there is much more to do to meet our net zero ambitions."
Vice-convenor of the Net Zero, Environment and Transport committee, Councillor Miranda Radley, added: "Addressing the climate and nature emergency not only affects the environment but also delivers social and economic benefits for the North East."
