Aberdeen-based manufacturer Nexos has announced a significant boost to its operations, with its heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) team securing £8 million in new contracts since January this year.
This latest achievement follows a period of substantial growth for the firm, which reported a doubling of revenues over the past two years and an expansion of its HVAC team headcount by over 50% earlier in the year, from eight to 20 employees.
The newly secured £8m in work originates from providing essential services to major operators across the UK Continental Shelf, encompassing critical support for both onshore and offshore assets. These contract wins underscore Nexos's strong technical capabilities and the trust placed in its specialised HVAC division by key industry players.
Lee Youngson, Operations Manager for Nexos, commented on the recent success: "These contract wins are a strong endorsement of our technical capabilities and the confidence our customers place in our HVAC team and build on a growing pipeline of long-term service agreements." He added that in today's increasingly cost-conscious and performance-driven market, Nexos remains "focused on providing agile, smart ways of working to optimise labour and maximise efficiency."
Late last year, Nexos notably secured a pivotal contract with North Sea operator EnQuest to provide HVAC services for the Thistle and Magnus platforms, taking over core crew HVAC roles. This project significantly bolstered the firm's capability to deliver critical services across complex energy environments.
Nexos, which rebranded from Global E&C in 2024, now employs more than 1,500 people and actively works across over 33 offshore assets in the UK. Mr Youngson previously highlighted the exceptional talent brought into the expanded HVAC team, noting its significant impact on adding value to operations and strengthening overall capabilities.
