Inverclyde Council has announced the successful completion of £75,000 worth of improvement works on Mirren Shore, a popular Port Glasgow route for walkers, cyclists and motorists.
Mirren Shore has been transformed having been completely resurfaced with the addition of dedicated parking spaces and a new cycle track alongside the road itself.
The area, which runs behind Anderson Street and links to Coronation Park, is well-used by local businesses, visitors, walkers and cyclists.
The council has spent around £75,000 on the improvement works.
Councillor Michael McCormick, Inverclyde Council's convener of environment and regeneration, said: "Mirren Shore was in a poor state so seeing it now completely transformed like this it is night and day from the way it was.
"It's on days like these when you really appreciate the incredible coastal paths we have to enjoy the magnificent views and this is one of the many great locations we have in Inverclyde for walking and cycling.
"This area is also a busy, local industrial hub and I'm sure businesses will welcome these improvements."
