Work on a major mixed-use development has been completed in the south side of Glasgow by Mechanical and Electrical Services contractor, Arc-Tech (Scotland) Ltd.
Main contractor CCG led the construction of the Crown Street Regeneration Project, which includes new high-specification offices for New Gorbals Housing Association, as well as the delivery of 28 one and two-bedroom flats, each contributing to the formation of a new 'public piazza' which is open to residents and the wider community.
Arc-Tech installed all of the office's heating, ventilation water services, drainage and electrical systems as well as data & telecommunications, CCTV, lighting and fire alarms.
Solar PV was also installed on the roof of the flatted block to ensure that the residents at Crown Street benefit from efficient energy distribution and long-term savings on their energy bills.
Managing Director of Arc-Tech, John Gallacher, said: "The new Crown Street development is a comprehensive regeneration and we were delighted to be involved, delivering high-quality M&E services in support of the construction programme. Our expert site team performed very well to ensure the contract was delivered on time and on budget."
Scotland's First Minister Nicola Sturgeon MSP recently opened the development alongside Glasgow City Council Leader, Susan Aitken and members of New Gorbals Housing Association.
