Three housing experts have joined the Chartered Institute of Housing in Scotland (CIH Scotland) as new board members.
Sandra McLeod of River Clyde Homes, Phillip Morrison-Gale from Hjaltland Housing Association and Graeme Hamilton, a housing consultant, will join the board later this year after the CIH AGM.
Ms McLeod is an Executive Director at River Clyde Homes where she has worked since 2014. She has 34 years of experience working in social housing, previously working for Scottish Special Housing Association, Scottish Homes, Cube Housing Association, and the Wheatley Group.
Mr Morrison-Gale is the Head of Housing at Hjaltland Housing Association in Shetland. Originally from Northumberland, he is also director at CAB in Shetland and previously worked for Blackwood, Link Group and Clúid Housing in the Republic of Ireland.
Mr Hamilton, who worked for Wheatley Group and Glasgow City Council for over 30 years, has his own consultancy business focusing on project management, change management and digital skills and runs blended learning programmes for the Chartered Institute of Housing diploma and certificate levels through the City of Glasgow College.
Further appointments include Evie Copland, who has been formally hired after being co-opted. Margaret Moore, John Kerr and Esther Wilson have also been reappointed after completing one term.
Esther Wilson, Chair of CIH Scotland, said: "We are delighted to welcome three new board members from such diverse backgrounds and experience. They all share our commitment to the profession and the central role of housing in people's lives, and I know that their wealth of experience across the sector will be invaluable as we go forward.
"I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Amanda Britain, Gordon Campbell and Kirsty Wells, who are standing down from the board, for their great support and active contribution."
