The Scottish Government has announced £30 million is available to improve energy efficiency in homes.
Householders can apply for a loan of up to £15,000 from the Home Energy Efficiency Programme Scotland (HEEPS) to install a variety of energy efficient measures.
Features could include solid wall insulation (internal and external), cavity wall, loft and roof insulation, draught proofing and boilers.
In addition, Registered Social Landlords can gain loans to help fund improvements to their properties.
Housing Minister Kevin Stewart said last year, HEEPS helped over 1,700 households save £280,000 in fuel bills.
"This latest round of funding should help up to 8000 households make their homes cheaper to keep warm," he said.
"We have committed to spending £114 million on domestic energy efficiency this year and this latest announcement is yet another step in us helping the most vulnerable people in Scotland heat their homes affordably."
