East Renfrewshire Council has opened its new Renewable Energy Fund to applications.
Over £180,000 is available from the initiative, which is targeted at projects that have potentially substantial long term benefits for local communities and have a minimum cost of £20,000.
The fund has been created by the council and Scottish Power Renewables, with income made up from both Whitelee Wind Farm and Middleton Windfarm.

Kenny Peberdy, UK Director for Scottish Power Renewables, added: "The fund provides a great opportunity to support community groups and we aim is to help as many projects as we can over the coming years."
