A £15,000 steel beam removal project is to begin in Greenock, Inverclyde.
Urban regeneration developer Riverside Inverclyde will start removing steel beams from the mouth of the basin at Scott's Dry Dock on Monday, 19 September.
The project is to be carried out by Union Projects Marine Engineering after the appropriate licences, agreements and supports were secured from Marine Scotland, Historic Scotland, the Harbourmaster, Peel Land & Property, Peel Ports, and the Crown Estates.
Riverside Inverclyde said the beams will be replaced with a "more aesthetically pleasing" floating chain barrier made from timber sleepers that will be fixed to the quay wall.
The project is expected to be completed within a week.
