Dundee City Council is due to host a consultation discussing the shape of future development in the city, it has been announced.
Residents, businesses and landowners are being invited to help shape the next Dundee Local Development Plan (LDP).
The document will guide the development of housing, business land, the city centre and district centres along with the natural and built environment up until 2024.
The Main Issues Report highlights 12 important discussions points that the Dundee LDP will address.
These are:
• Supporting business and employment
• Enabling the delivery of new homes
• Supporting the city and district centres
• Enhancing natural and built areas.
The public will also be given the chance to comment on existing planning policies and proposals, as well as give their views on any other land use planning issues.
Will Dawson, convener of the council's city development committee, said: "This is an important stage in the preparation of the next Local Development Plan for Dundee through discussion of the key planning issues facing the city in the next five to ten years and by setting out the council's range of preferred options for tackling them.
"It is important that anyone with an interest in the future of the city, whether they are residents, businesses or landowners, take part in the consultation and tell us what they think of the main issues and options we have identified."
The seven-week consultation will begin on Monday, 11 January.
