Work to restore the fire-ravaged Glasgow School of Art (GSA) are expected to cost up to £35m, it has been announced.
The GSA has now submitted a Pre Qualification Questionnaire (PQQ) and is actively looking for a contractor to take on the works.
It is understood work could begin in summer 2016.
Last year, a fire damaged the Mackintosh Building and destroyed a number of key spaces on the West side of the building.
As a result, the entire building has been out of use.
However, the GSA now said it is seeking to appoint a 'suitably skilled and experienced' principal contractor to complete the buildings reconstruction.
In a statement, the GSA revealed it is "fully committed to reconstructing and restoring the Mackintosh Building to its full glory."
The deadline for expressions of interest is Friday, 18 December.
