West Dunbartonshire Councillors have agreed an 'action plan' to transform a town centre.
The 39 improvement projects for Clydebank were identified through a consultation funded by the Scottish Government.
Priority projects include:
• Redevelopment of the Play Drome and Rosebery place sites.
• Encouraging better use of the A-listed Co-operative building, including creative uses at upper floor levels.
• Animating the Forth and Clyde Canal by introducing pavilions and external terraces along the northern canal side.
• Improved public realm along Dumbarton Road to better link the town centre with Queens Quay.
• Improving the use of Three Queens Square as a civic and event space, with the possibility of introducing a food and drink unit.
• Chalmers Street and Abbotsford Road developments which could lead to the creation of residential flats above non-residential units.
• A public transport interchange, creating a gateway to the town centre, including waiting areas and barrier free access.
Councillor Patrick McGlinchey said: "The design Charrette gave Bankies the chance to have their say on the future of their town. I am delighted that the action plan has now been agreed and I look forward to seeing these proposals starting to come to fruition. Once Queens Quay is fully developed it will a fantastic community hub for Clydebank and it is important that we link up this key site with the town centre."
