Melville Housing Association (HA) has announced an energy efficiency project for residents in South Lanarkshire.
The scheme will see homes in Forth receive external insulation and cladding.
The improvement work aims to reduce damp, improve weatherproofing and increase comfort levels.
The project is to also reduce the environmental impact of the new homes, saving over 7,000 tonnes of carbon throughout the next 25 years.
The HA has teamed up with SERS Energy Solutions (Scotland) to deliver the work, made possible due to grant funding of over £200,000 from the Scottish Government's HEEPS: Cashback for social housing providers scheme.
The work is free for Melville tenants and is expected to take between four to six weeks per property.
SERS is to start its initial engagement work shortly, with all work due to be completed by spring.
Andrew Noble, Chief Executive of Melville Housing, said: "This is a hugely significant project.
"Fuel poverty is an increasing problem and for some time now we’ve been looking for a solution to the issues posed by our non-traditional properties, particularly those in Forth, which have the added difficulty of not being on the gas network.
"Thanks to this grant funding we now have a real opportunity to both extend the lives of these homes as well as help improve living conditions for our customers in Forth."
