A new school building in Dundee could cost over £8 million if councillors agree a tender submission next week.
The new two storey building to replace Sidlaw View Primary and Jessie Porter nursery would be developed by Willmott Dixon if its bid is accepted.
With allowances, the total cost of the building will be £8.1 million.
The site will contain a two stream primary school designed for 400 pupils and 70 full time equivalent (FTE) nursery places for three to five-year-old's.
A separate nursery for 30 FTE two-year-old's will also be developed along with a 33 space car park.
The building will be steel framed with external cavity wall construction. The external finish will be a mixture of facing brick/blockwork and aluminium power coated panels.
Councillor Stewart Hunter said: "It is important that we continue to ensure that the buildings in which we educate our young people are of the highest possible standard.
"I am sure that the replacement school will be welcomed by pupils, parents and staff who will be working there."
