Aberdeen Council has announced the money collected from bus lane fines will be invested into a range of transport and road projects.
Over £1 million has been collected by the council between 2014-2015.
Councillors have agreed to allocate the surplus from penalty charges into areas including cycle path improvements, traffic light refurbishments, bus shelter replacements and a new puffin crossing.
Money will also be put towards several studies and surveys, including work towards the planning stages of a new bridge over the River Dee.
Councillor Neil Cooney said: "This programme in the past has been imaginative and it has been successful.
"It is going towards a wide range of projects including resurfacing core paths, upgrading bus shelters and funding more Bikeability training, all of which will be of benefit to people across the city."
A number of projects were implemented during the 2014/15 financial year, including resurfacing and drainage improvements on the city's paths for walking and cycling.
