Plans to re-open a gravel quarry in the Ochils have been rejected by Perth and Kinross Council.
The application proposed to reopen Glendevon Quarry and carry out work on the site until 2035.
Clackmannanshire Council had lodged an objection to the plans, saying it was concerned about an increase of HGV traffic on the A823, as well as the potential impact the scheme could have on tourism in the area, which is popular with walkers.
In total, 108 letters of objection were received by locals as well as opposition from various community councils.
The plans went before Perth and Kinross's Development Management Committee last week, where members made the decision to reject the application.
Welcoming the announcement, Clackmannanshire Council's Enterprise and Environment Convener, Councillor Donald Balsillie, said: "The majority of local people were against the quarry at Glenquey, with real concerns over the potential impact, both on the environment and on road safety, which is why the Council raised concerns about the application.
"I am glad that the application has been refused and am sure that this Council's submissions were helpful contributions."
