Design plans for the Skiprunning Burn Flood Protection Scheme have been put on public display.
The £313,000 scheme for Jedburgh aims to reduce the risk of flooding to properties in the area. The local community are now being invited to view and comment on the plans.
The scheme will focus on four areas:
• Improvements to protection measures near to the culvert at Larkhall Farm
• Introduction of a debris trap and other debris management measures at Wildcat Cleuch
• A range of flood protection measures at the town culvert inlet at Burn Wynd
• Improvements to Jedburgh's main town culvert.
The plans are available to view at Jedburgh Library Contact Centre, the Scottish Borders Council's Headquarters in Newtown St Boswells, or online.
Comments must be received by 10 December.
Councillor Gordon Edgar, Executive Member for Roads and Infrastructure, commented: "There has already been a significant amount of work carried out to reduce the risk of flooding from the Skiprunning Burn.
"The publication of the Skiprunning Burn Flood Protection Scheme is another milestone and when it is agreed, the scheme will make a significant difference to residents and businesses in Jedburgh town centre."
