A new police firing range has opened in Dounreay, Caithness.
Located near the nuclear power station in the area, the £2.5m facility will be used by the Civil Nuclear Constabulary (CNC) officers who guard Dounreay, the BBC has reported.
The range consists of eight-lanes, at 164 ft (50m) long.
Dounreay is currently being decommissioned and 'cleaned up' as part of a £1.6bn project. It is understood when the range is no longer needed, it will be demolished, with the land being reinstated and made available for agricultural use.
In May 2013, Dounreay Site Restoration Limited (DSRL) were granted planning permission for the range by the Highland Council.
