Construction work on 10 new homes in Brae, Shetland, has been completed, the local authority has announced.
Work on the development, known as Gary Couper Road, commenced in July 2013 and is located in the Moorfields area.
The two-bedroom homes have been built to a modern, energy efficient specification such as low-maintenance building materials and ground source heat pumps.
Anita Jamieson, Executive Manager, Housing Service, commented: "The properties will provide much needed, affordable housing in the North Mainland area.
"Both the council and Hjaltland Housing Association will continue to work together to build homes in Shetland to meet housing need, in line with the Local Housing Strategy."
Gary Couper Road has been named after the late Mr Couper, 39, who worked as an architectural technician within the Housing Service. He had been involved with the design and planning of the development when he died suddenly in 2011.
