The Chartered Institute of Housing (CIH) Scotland has appointed an interim director.
Catherine Lowe, who is the current interim head of learning and development at CIH Scotland, will begin her new role at the end of the month when current director Alan Ferguson steps down.
Earlier this year, the organisation said it was to create a new role to oversee its operations in Scotland, Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland and Wales.
The executive director of the national business units will be based in Edinburgh, and recruitment for the role started last month. The closing date is 18 August.
Ms Lowe joined CIH in April, but had previously spent three years as an independent housing consultant. Her former roles include head of the homeless partnership at Glasgow City Council, consultant manager for the Scotland office of Hacas Chapman Hendy, head of housing at Moray Council and deputy director of housing at Western Isles Council, the firm has said.
Commenting on her new role, Ms Lowe said: "I'm delighted to continue working for CIH and to assist with the changes taking place, focusing on continuing to deliver great products and services that deliver for housing professionals and organisations across Scotland in challenging times."
CIH Scotland board chair, Keith Anderson, added: "I know Catherine has the skills and experience we need to steer CIH Scotland through a period of change and make sure we are offering the best possible support for housing professionals in Scotland."
