A sea wall in Gourock, Inverclyde, is to be repaired after an inspection found "significant corrosion" in the structure.
It is understood the wall, which is at a car park in the town, will be partially closed in order to allow repair work to be carried out. According to the BBC, around 30 spaces will be made unavailable.
Further examinations are to be undertaken to observe the condition of the sea wall while options for longer term repair work are discussed.
Councillor Jim Clocherty, Regeneration Vice-Convener, is quoted as saying: "The council's inspection regime has revealed some incidences of corrosion which require action.
"Car parking spaces will be fenced off to alleviate pressure on the wall although the current regeneration work means that an additional 47 temporary car parking spaces nearby will help alleviate the loss."
