Plans for the Aberdeen Western Peripheral Route (AWPR)/Balmedie-Tipperty scheme are to go on public display, Transport Scotland has confirmed.
The plans will be available for road users and communities to view over a two-week period.
The exhibitions will commence at the Thistle Hotel in Altens on Monday 23 June from 12 noon to 7pm, and will include details about:
• The route
• The far reaching benefits of the project
• Progress of advance works
• Environmental mitigation.
Transport Minister Keith Brown said: "Earlier this month, we announced that Connect Roads had been appointed as preferred bidder for the AWPR project. This is great news for the people of the north-east and a very timely reminder that this road is coming, and soon.
"These exhibitions will give people a chance to remind themselves of the plans we have for the road and find out what it will mean for them. From bringing in an additional £6 billion to the local economy and generating around 900 construction jobs, to improving safety and cutting congestion - the benefits of this project are very substantial.
"As the project is now in its final stages prior to general construction, I would encourage communities and road users to take the opportunity to visit these exhibitions and remind themselves of the plans for this project."
