Works have been completed to improve wildlife and public access around the Tayport Common pond in Fife.
The project has been a long-term goal for the Tayport Ferryport-on-Craig Community Council and was funded by Fife Council, Fife Environment Trust and Scottish Natural Heritage.
Commenting on the works, Ward Councillor Maggie Taylor said: "This project builds on the successful transformation of the former boating pond into a wildlife rich habitat.
"A new footpath has been constructed around the pond with new seating at prime locations for great views towards the River Tay. Meadows areas, willow planting and shallow ponds have been created to increase opportunities for wildlife.
"For example, these meadows will provide pollen rich wildflowers for bees and butterflies in the summer months. Through working with SNH, Fife Environment Trust, Fife Council and Tayport Community Council, an area has been developed for young and old to enjoy."
George Beat, from the Tayport Ferryport-on-Craig Community Council, added: "The Community Council welcomes the transformation of the pond area at the Common. There is still a lot of growing to happen, but once established will look beautiful."
