Home Scotland is to invest more than £2m into improving homes in Rosyth, it has been announced.
The project will see the affordable housing provider deliver energy efficiency measures to a number of properties to make their homes warmer and improve their appearance.
The firm has already started work on improving almost 250 properties in the town with residents in Sherbrooke Road, Torridon Drive, Torridon Place, Esmonde Court and Linton Place being among those to benefit.
As part of the scheme, Home Scotland will apply energy efficient external wall insulation to all of its properties in addition to new windows, doors and replacement guttering.
Work on the new windows and doors is expected to be completed by the end of March, with work on the energy efficient external render being completed by the early summer.
Nicki Donaldson, Home Scotland Director said: "It's really important to us to make sure that our customers live in homes which are comfortable, well maintained and energy efficient.
"As a not for profit housing provider our main goal is to provide homes where families and neighbourhoods can flourish.
"The works we are carrying out in Rosyth will benefit each family by reducing their energy bills and providing a comfortable property which people are proud to call home. The external render will also give the neighbourhood a fresh, clean contemporary look.
"These are major works which will benefit everyone but they will take some time to complete and there might be some inconvenience such as scaffolding being put in place."
