Plans to build a new brewery, hotel and visitor centre in Perthshire have receiving approval from the National Park Authority, the BBC has reported.
It is understood the Loch Earn investment by Arran Brewery is planned for a former hotel site in St Fillans.
There are hopes that the hotel will be completed and open for business for the start of the Commonwealth Games this summer. The development would contain three bars, three restaurants and a coffee shop, as well as 32-bedroom hotel and banqueting hall. While lager and cider will be produced at the on-site brewery, with a visitor centre also being created.
Gerald Michaluk, Arran Brewery's Managing Director, is quoted by the BBC as saying: "The park authority has been fantastic and very professional in handling this development and the project will now move ahead at a very rapid pace."
The project is being part-financed by VisitScotland and Bank of Scotland.
