Plans have been outlined to invest £4.1m in council homes in the Cowdenbeath area of Fife.
The funding will be used to carry out some 908 jobs in the next year which will help improve a number of properties. The jobs include 257 improved heating systems, 434 new kitchens and 86 new sets of windows and doors.
Councillor Willie Clarke, Committee Chair, said: "I'm pleased that so many improvement works will be carried out in the next year, bringing us closer to the target of 100% compliance with the Government's Scottish Housing Quality Standard by 2015.
"The improvements will make real differences for tenants in the Cowdenbeath area and allow us to offer more fit for purpose, comfortable homes."
This latest investment is part of a Fife-wide scheme where more than £7m is being spent on improving council homes to bring them up to the Scottish Housing Quality Standard.
