Moray Council is inviting residents to share their opinions on proposed changes to its policy regarding the allocation of council housing.
The current allocations policy was introduced in 2008, but since its introduction, there have been a number of developments, including the Scottish Government's allocations good practice guide and the reform of the welfare benefits system.
However, before any changes are made to the Council's policy, the local authority is seeking views on what it considers are major issues and proposed changes.
The consultation aims to target a range of key stakeholders including tenants and those on the waiting list, as well as other social landlords and partner agencies to ensure that the needs of all parties are considered before any changes are made.
The consultation will include a random sample of sitting tenants and runs until 30 September 2013.
It will see views on a number of issues, including those related to the so-called bedroom tax.
The policy, as well as a short survey, are available on the Moray Council website.
Paper copies are also available at council access points.
Following analysis of the responses, recommendations on a revised policy will go before the communities committee in December.
