Work has been completed on the first new council houses to be built in Lossiemouth, Moray, for more than 20 years.
The development at Inchbroom Avenue comprises of four three-bedroom houses and six one-bedroom flats.
The properties, which have been been constructed by Tullouchs of Cummingston, have renewable energy heating systems and have been built to the Scottish Government's Housing for Varying Needs standards on design and suitability for tenants with specific requirements.
For example, three of the new ground floor flats have level access showers.
Councillor McGillivray welcomed the completion of the development and said: "It has been a long time since the council built any new houses in Lossiemouth – 1990 was the last time any were built – and these houses are much needed.
"Over the last three years, with Scottish Government grant assistance, the council has completed 202 new-build properties at locations in Elgin, Keith, Buckie and now Lossiemouth.
"Further new builds are currently ongoing at Forres and Buckie and all of these will assist the council in meeting the identified housing needs in Moray."
