A further four members have been appointed to the board of the Scottish Housing Regulator.
Margaret Burgess MSP, the Minister for Housing and Welfare, made the announcement yesterday.
The Scottish Housing Regulator is the independent regulator of over 200 social landlords across Scotland. This includes local authorities and Registered Social Landlords – RSLs – such as housing association and cooperatives.
Mike Dailly is one of the new board members and is a member of the Financial Services Authority's statutory consumer panel. He is also chairman of one of its working group committees.
The second new appointment is Russell Pettigrew, a qualified accountant who began his career in local government in Glasgow.
Anne Jarvie and Wesley Mitchell are the remaining board members. Jarvie worked as a nurse in the NHS before joining the Civil Service, while Mitchell has worked in various areas in the voluntary sector.
The appointments for Dailly and Pettigrew will be for four years, the appointment for Anne Jarvie will be for three years and the appointment for Wesley Mitchell is for a two-year term.
The appointments are part-time and are regulated by the Public Appointments Commissioner for Scotland.
