Refurbishment work has been completed on the bridge over the former railway line at Lady Mary's Walk in Crieff, Perthshire.
Perth & Kinross Council's Environment Vice-Convener and other, local elected members have welcomed the news.
The popular beauty spot and nature trail by the River Earn had been serviced by the timber bridge since a previous refurbishment about 30 years ago.
But the structure had become worn and required conservation work to be carried out. Those affected parts of the bridge were replaced by Community Greenspace staff Kevin Urquhart, Derek Cope and Jerry Evans.
The work saw one set of beams renewed and a new deck and parapet rails put in.
Some of the old timber has been salvaged in the name of sustainability.
This is being donated to the Allotment Association of Crieff.
Environment Vice-Convener Councillor Mike Williamson said: "We carry out works on our parks and green spaces as and when they are required, and the refurbishment of the bridge here at Lady Mary's Walk has been completed quickly and efficiently by our staff. I am delighted that the works have been completed ahead of schedule, and to hear that members of the community are pleased with the maintenance carried out.
"It is also excellent that we are able to demonstrate best practice by putting some of the materials removed to new use to assist the local allotment association as it develops."
