Kingdom Housing Association is to receive a National Green Apple Award at Edinburgh Castle on September 10.
The highly prestigious awards were launched in 1994 to recognise companies, community projects and local authorities which have taken action to benefit the environment.
Spearheaded by The Green Organisation and supported by the Royal Environmental Health Institute of Scotland, the Edinburgh ceremony will mark the first time an awards event is hosted north of the border.
Kingdom Housing Association now faces a nervous wait to hear if it has achieved a gold, silver or bronze award.
It is also in the frame for the evening's top honour, in which the winning group will be crowned Green Champion of Scotland.
Along with fellow finalists, the organisation could be chosen to represent Scotland in the European Business Awards for the Environment.
Bill Banks, depute chief executive of Kingdom Housing Association, said: "The Housing Innovation Showcase project was a very interesting and challenging project, where it was possible to demonstrate how various construction methods and technologies could contribute to sustainable construction.
"We are delighted that the project will be recognised by the Green Apple Organisation at the first Scottish Awards."
