The next step in the multi million pound transformation of Dundee's waterfront could get the green light next week.
Councillors will be asked to approve a £598,000 tender for work in Union Street, Dock Street, Yeaman Shore and Whitehall Crescent.
Will Dawson, convener of Dundee City Council's city development committee said: "This part of the works includes environmental improvements in Union Street, making Yeaman Shore two way, localised realignment of Dock Street and the reconstruction of the carriageway in Whitehall Crescent.
"Taken together these works are essential to the overall success of the waterfront development and will also mean improvements to other areas of the city centre."
If members agree Tayside Contracts will be retained to carry out the works including installation of Euro bins in Union Street and changes to Dock Street that will allow the safe demolition of Tayside House in a later phase of the waterfront project.
Work is expected to start in April and be completed in Union Strreet and Yeaman Shore before the busy Christmas shopping period.
The city development committee meets on Monday (March 28).
