An Aberdeen firm is celebrating three decades in business.
Lockfast was founded by Malcolm Taylor in George Street 30 years ago then moved to the Norco supermarket at Berryden before going full circle and returning to George Street ten years ago.
Since that time, the company has seen its turnover increase by 10% on an annual basis.
In addition to the George Street shop’s well stocked key cutting business, Lockfast’s commercial arm deals with all kinds of domestic and commercial locksmith work as well as the installation and maintenance of security and entry systems throughout the North east.
The company truly is a family affair on the up and up as Malcolm now runs the business with son Mark and, in a bid to cope with increasing demand for services, the company has recently employed Roman Reiter as a trainee security engineer.
Commenting on the milestone anniversary, Malcolm Taylor said: "There have been lots of changes in the business in the past 30 years, but we have always remained true to our roots and focused on our customers – I am now cutting keys for the grandchildren of some of my original customers.
"Those customers range from individuals who visit our shop for key cutting or a shoe repair to large corporate companies – and to us these people are all vitally important."
