A new housing development is planned for the Bridge of Don.
An application for outline planning permission for the 81 dwellings has been submitted to Aberdeen City Council, on behalf of developer Carlton Rock.
The firm is seeking permission to build a mixture of private and low-cost housing at Jesmond Drive, opposite the Oldmachar Community Association Hall. The site is to the rear of the neighbourhood shopping centre.
The application states that 37 dwellings would be built (consisting of a mix of semi-detached and terraced houses and 18 flats), along with eight low-cost semi-detached houses and 18 low-cost flats.
The application also includes the provision of an area of public open space.
It will be considered by the planning committee in due course.
