The removal of a canopy at the Forth Road Bridge's south tower is expected to cause delays.
The Canopy was in place to protect cars during painting works.
The bridge will be closed between 12.30am and 3.30am from Tuesday January 27 to Friday January 30.
A single lane in each direction will be open from 7pm the previous evening until 6am the following morning.
Barry Colford, chief engineer and bridgemaster, said: "These works are being carried out at night in order to minimise the disruption caused to traffic.
"Complete closures are necessary because the components being removed span the width of both carriageways.
"Anyone planning to travel at these times should make sure they are aware of when the bridge will be closed and adjust their plans accordingly."
