Glasgow electrical contractor, Hudson, a division of the McKean Group, recently completed a £152k contract working in Parcelforce's new super-depot in Cambuslang.
The contract which was won on competitive tender started in November 2007 and was completed earlier this year.
The 49,000sq ft depot will revolutionise the express parcel carrier's operations and provide the most technologically advanced parcel sorting plant in Scotland.
The works included cable containment throughout the main warehouse, sub mains and small power, lighting, fire alarm and office fit out, data cabling and induction hoops.
The dedicated team working on the contract consisted of one foreman, four electricians and a visiting contract manager.
Stewart Brown, Managing Director, Hudson, said: "We are delighted to have worked on such a great project. This was a large scale job which consisted of fixing over 200 light fittings and installing over 1.8km of containment.
"Huge investment went into this super-depot and I’m glad Hudson was given the challenge of working on Scotland's most technologically advanced parcel sorting plant."
