Aberdeen's Beach Leisure Centre pool and flumes will remain closed while work to repair a cracked glass pane in the roof is carried out.
The work will have to be done from the inside of the building. This will involve draining the pool, which will take two days, and then putting equipment in place, in the pool, to give the glazier access to the roof. The pool will remain closed for up to approximately two weeks while this is done.
The council has apologised to customers for any inconvenience and remind them that there are other pools in the city. We would also emphasise that only the pool and flumes are closed. The Beach Leisure Centre sports hall, gym, health suite, creche, and cafe remain open, and the summer day camps are continuing.
