Circle To Be Tenants At Edinburgh Quay

Edinburgh Quay Ltd has announced healthcare provider Circle as its fourth tenant at Quay2, the 60,000 sq ft office building at Edinburgh Quay, the capital's mixed-use development at Fountainbridge.

The deal sees Circle take over the whole ground floor of the landmark Quay2 development.

Circle will carry out a state-of-the-art refit before joining Lloyds TSB, Barclays and Baker Tilly, which have all recently signed tenancy agreements in the development. Quay2 will become Circle's first premises in Scotland.

Pamela Grant, director of Edinburgh Quay Ltd, said: "Circle is a first-class healthcare service and its letting complements our existing financial tenants. Its wide range of healthcare services will be of great benefit to those who work and live in Edinburgh's thriving business district.

"Edinburgh Quay continues to go from strength to strength in attracting major international clients to the Exchange District in Fountainbridge, which has established itself as a major finance centre. Quay2 has already made a strong contribution to the capital's buoyant office market, and we have a high degree of interest in the remaining space."

Circle was created to allow healthcare professionals to participate in shaping the future of healthcare delivery and enables those closest to their patients to take control, have freedom to innovate, and provide the highest quality of care to their patients.

The Circle partnership is the largest of its kind in the UK and today has over 1,000 consultant doctors, and soon will have the same number of GPs as it continues to grow. The clinic will create a new retail concept that simplifies the accessibility and delivery of healthcare.

The deal follows last October's announcement that Edinburgh Quay Ltd had secured additional planning use consent which has facilitated Circle's occupation.

Currently, 35,500 sq ft of office and retail accommodation is available for occupation at Quay2. Both Barclays and Baker Tilly are trading from the building, while Lloyds will begin occupancy in early summer.

Located in the Exchange District, with the canal basin at the heart of the development, Quay2 completes the regeneration project that has transformed the area around Lochrin Basin in Fountainbridge into a landmark development.
