The inquiry into Donald Trump's £1bn Aberdeenshire golf resort plans has begun.
The inquiry is expected to last several weeks at the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre (AECC) and will look into why the American Tycoon's plans for "the worlds greatest golf course" at the Menie Estate were rejected.
Local business leaders have supported the plans, however environmental groups and local campaigners are against it.
Mr Trump, who is due to be the first witness, said the golf resort will be: "Something very special, there won’t be anything like it."
The application is for two championship golf courses and a luxury hotel.
