Construction company Mansell has successfully completed a major contract to refurbish the Aberdeen office of oilfield services company, VetcoGray, a GE Oil & Gas business.

Mansell carried out the work at the firm's Silverburn House - in the Bridge of Don area of the city - completely refurbishing the five-storey office block, including the architectural refurbishing of walls, floors and ceilings, and the full re-fitting of all electrical and heating systems.

The contract, worth £7.5 million, took seven months to complete.

Doug Duncan, Mansell's business development manager, said he was delighted the project had been such a success.

He said: "We are thrilled to see the work at Silverburn House completed. It was an exciting yet challenging project but with our experience and expertise in this type of contract, the project has been a real success.

"The completed building looks fantastic and we hope the employees from VetcoGray will enjoy the offices for many years to come."
