James Frew To Fit Out Blythswood Square Hotel

James Frew, Scotland's largest independent plumbers, has won a £2 million contract to fit out Glasgow's prestigious Blythswood Square hotel scheduled to open in 2009.

The landmark building which was formerly the Royal Scottish Automobile Club is set to be transformed by The Town House Company into a five star luxury hotel featuring 88 bedrooms, suites, apartments and penthouses.

Working with Chard Construction, James Frew will be responsible for the installation of the heating and air conditioning systems, as well as all the plumbing work for the high spec ensuite bathrooms.

Jason Walsh, Quantity Surveying Manager, said: "The spec for all the work we're undertaking is very high end and we've had to visit other international hotels to view the standard and quality expected within this new hotel. The end result will be quite spectacular.

"The contract is a significant appointment for the commercial division of James Frew which is on target to generate a £10m turnover."
